An out of date organizational map of the Utrecht 23rd street basement. Created two years ago by the hands of a dear friend.
This is a place I know well, or perhaps descriptive of a place I once knew. The map is useless to anyone who would currently choose to utilize it as a navigational tool; yet it has been conveniently hanging for some time on the basement door. What does a map become once its information proves irrelevant to the place it describes? Where is that place now? I may never place foot in that basement again–so I took the map. No one currently working knows the existence of the place it describes anyways. Lost in time and space it remains a marker of a place once inhibited by friends and coworkers.
